Championship Scheduling Format

Teams must be present 30 minutes prior to start of team’s first game to satisfy check-in

5v5 Field Players (INCLUDES goalie)

All players must use a short stick 

Full equipment required 

Minimum 7 players per team | Maximum 10 players per team

Games start and end on a central horn

Substitutions will be on the fly from sideline

Stop time provided for injuries will not adjust the length of games

NO TIMEOUTS 

Possession will change on missed shot that finishes out-of-bounds (NO closest to the ball) 

Face-Off establish initial possession  (NO face-offs following goals)

4 Second Goalie Count; 10 Second Clear Count

NO OVER & BACK (once the ball crosses the middle of the field it must remain in the offensive zone)

One field player must stay back in the defensive zone if the goalie runs the field. Otherwise, the goalie satisfies the one player back rule

6  Goal Mercy Rule/Free Clear Awarded

Limited Contact (NO body checks… NO cross-checks)

ALL penalties are 30 seconds running time (begins as soon as player takes knee in designated off field area)

NO OVERTIME (If tied at end of regulation the game is OVER)

Teams are awarded:

  • 3 points for a win
  • 1 point for a tie
  • 0 points for a loss

Tie in standings goes as follows:

  1. Head-to-head
  2. Goals allowed
  3. Goals Scored
  4. Coin Toss

*Unsportsmanlike conduct will NOT be tolerated. Any behavior deemed to be unsportsmanlike may result in expulsion with no refund. Grounds for expulsion will be left to the discretion of game officials and the tournament directors* 

Girls Rules

3, 22-minute games

No checking for 3/4 | Modified checking for 5/6 and 7/8 | Full checking for HS

NO FREE POSITION SHOTS. For infractions that would typically result in free position shots, the player who committed the foul will be required to sub out. During the time it takes for a new player to return to the field, the offense will have a “player up advantage.” The ref will call for the player to leave the field. He will then whistle for an indirect start from the offense. A new player may only take the field once the player who committed the foul has stepped off.
